Nissa Nishikawa, Artist in Residence at Swedenborg House, presents Rite of Augury, a site-specific Dance-Theatre piece centred on the ideas of Emanuel Swedenborg. Incorporating music, dance and sculpture, a collective of international artists respond to Swedenborg's perception of the world in parallels - with live music from Bo Ningen, acoustic psychedelic outfit from Japan. Nissa Nishikawa studied Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, then Stage Art at RADA and at Goldsmiths University, London. After training in Yamanashi with dancers Min Tanaka and Shiho Ishihara, Nishikawa now lives and works in London. She is the current Artist in Residence at the Swedenborg Society, a publishing house established in 1810, focusing on the works of radical philosopher, scientist and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772).
