A SKVADER : SELECTED WORKS

Overview

A Skvader (a word that describes a hybrid mythical creature), has been made possible by the arts agency Kaavous-Bhoyroo and the independent Norwich gallery OUTPOST and is a complex collaboration between individuals and organisations. The consistent element is the exhibition of selected works drawn from the encyclopaedic collections at Norwich Castle Museum by artist Lawrence Leaman and Alex Sainsbury, Director of Raven Row Gallery. In addition, three new commissions by artists, Zoe Williams, Simon Davenport and Matthew Noel-Todd, will be installed consecutively between December 2010 and June 2011 and will be accompanied by an ambitious programme of talks and events.
