Overview

The focus of Wang Jun’s work is the evolving nature of the Chinese as they adapt to dramatic shifts in the social framework. During his Breathe Residency, Wang Jun will visit the homes of Manchester artists. Working in collaboration, he wishes to observe the traits and features of social spaces within the home. He hopes to collate these dialogues into a curatoral project that brings together artists from Manchester and Chongqing. The project attempts to discuss the inherited social codes that connect an individual to their own culture and social groupings. Presented with Support from Visiting Arts and British Council.
