This large-scale group show takes American writer Donald Barthelme’s 1978 short story of the same name as a starting point to explore ideas around paranoia, cynicism and sincerity. The exhibition intends to provoke discussion and stimulate thoughts on our current situation and what histories we might attribute this to.Work in painting, photography, video, installation and performance. This project is accompanied by a series of discursive events including artists’ talks, workshops and a symposium. Visit www.thetetley.org for full details and project blog for discussion & new writing
