Jos de Gruyter (b. 1965, Geel, Belgium) and Harald Thys (b. 1966, Wilrijk, Belgium) have assumed the muddled and suspect obsessions of imaginary weekend painters to make an immense series of watercolours. These depictions of history, culled from the internet, are installed in a carpeted Raven Row to stare blankly into a past which might now be useless. Cartoonish sculptural figures, weighty but thin like cardboard, stand alongside a mock-heroic fountain as mute witnesses. In anachronistic interiors above Raven Row's galleries, the artists present a selection of their work in video.
