Overview

Camberwell Space is proud to introduce this year’s winner of the Vanguard Prize, new artist and performer Le Fil with his debut solo exhibition 'Pop Sculpture: The Filosophy of Making'. 'Pop Sculpture: The Filosophy of Making' is a multi-disciplinary exhibition that places pop music into the gallery, presenting Le Fil's personal approaches to making art - from his renowned clay sculptures and performances to more recently, pop songs. Throughout his studio residency this year awarded by Vanguard Court, Le Fil has been crafting electronic dance-pop music infused with heavy industrial beats and melodic hooks; alongside creating performance art installations; and sculpting hand-made ceramic objects in his distinctive aesthetic of monochromatic palettes and futuristic geometric forms.
