against Nature
23 Apr-30 May 2014

against Nature looks at geography, or the ‘geo-graphical’, natural histories and landscapes. It explores political and ethical notions of our planet as a natural habitat. The exhibition concentrates on work that uses print. Here, subtle innovations and applications are utilized to great effect to investigate some of the complexities which arise when looking at nature and print. Artists include: Franz Ackermann, Jasone Miranda Bilbao, Ian Brown, Helen Chadwick, Paul Coldwell, Nicky Coutts, Dunhill & O’Brien. Adam Gillam, Oona Grimes, Mark Harris, Katsushika Hokusai, Dan Howard-Birt, Susan Johanknecht, Serena Korda, Michael Landy, Jo Love, Mike Marshall, Bob Matthews, Tim O’Riley, Rebecca Salter, Kate Scrivener and Jo Stockham.
