Faisal Abdu'Allah : Facets of a Community

Overview

Camberwell Space invited artist Hew Locke to select an artist to present an exhibition in the gallery. He chose Faisal Abdu'Allah who is working with the local community in and around Camberwell to create a project titled 'Facets of a Community'. The exhibition will include two new tapestries, and a living archive that is a repository of words and text submitted by members of the community for inclusion in printed works that will gradually populate the gallery over the course of the exhibition. Faisal is an acclaimed British artist and associate professor of art at University Wisconsin-Madison. His work has been shown at Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery and Chisenhale Gallery.
