Overview

An exhibition as part of Polska! of Polish and UK artists, ‘Counter Logic’ presents artistic practice as a process of assembly, fitting different bits together, creating form, and building a new whole out of pre-existing pieces. The practice reflects the fragmentation of contemporary experience and the artists’ effort to organise or understand the world. In turn, two of the artists, including Anthony Schrag (UK), have been invited to make a meta‑work, or meta‑structure that counters the logic of the show. Co-curated by Jenny Brownrigg, DJCAD, Dundee and Stach Szablowski, Centre for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw.
