Jodie Carey’s spectacular installation consists of three giant chandeliers constructed from 9,000 plaster cast human bones. With each chandelier weighing more than one tonne, this exhibition was an immense feat for both artist and curator. Sanna Moore will give the inside story on this ambitious installation from a curator’s point of view – from how she discovered Jodie as an artist, through the commissioning process to the logistical complexity of installing such a show. Along the way she will answer some of questions she is most often asked in her role as Towner’s Exhibitions Curator! Thursday 3 September 6.30pm. Entry free. Please call 01323 434670 or email [email protected] to book – or just drop in on the night. Towner the contemporary art museum, Devonshire Park, College Road, Eastbourne BN21 4JJ.
