Overview

Like many art museums, Towner relies on the generosity of artists, collectors and you, the public. This display celebrates this ongoing philanthropy and explores how donations have shaped our collection – with paintings from the original Towner bequest, works by Eric Ravilious, Paul Nash and others and sketches for the Berwick Church murals by Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. Also featuring works from the recent Arthur & Helen Grogan gift through the Art Fund and gifts by contemporary artists Jem Southam and Ivàn Navarro.
