Overview

The first opportunity to see new works in mima collection, One place to call home considers some of the roles that craft collections can play in a gallery’s development. Many of the works in this exhibition have been acquired through the support of the Northern Rock Foundation Craft Acquisition Scheme. In 2004 the foundation made £150,000 available to mima for the continuation of our ceramics and jewellery collection. Artists include Alexander Blank, Neil Brownsword, Peter Chang, Edmund de Waal, Gesine Hackenberg, Dorothy Hogg, Kepa Karmona, Walter Keeler, Ted Noten, Rupert Spira and Julian Stair.
