Overview

This project is designed as a place to experiment with new ways to put our collection to use through the lenses of its new vision as a ‘useful museum’. It is an active, changing presentation based on dialogue between staff and the public to arrange feature displays in the gallery. It offers visitors the opportunity to interact with works (including ceramics, painting and jewellery) through a variety of approaches, from considering how they can be employed as a teaching tool or a stimulus for making to simply browsing and studying them.
