Peckham Space is pleased to announce the launch of a new public artwork on Peckham Square on 8 August 2012: The Peckham Peace Wall by Garudio Studiage will celebrate the wall of post-it notes of love and respect for the area which grew on Rye Lane last August. The Peckham Peace Wall is a project originated by Peckham Shed which has resulted in a public artwork by Garudio Studiage commissioned by Peckham Space, Camberwell College of Arts with funding from Cleaner Greener Safer, London Borough of Southwark. To coincide with the launch, Peckham Space will be working with other organisations to produce a month-long public programme of free activities. This will include Peckham Space Art Clubs inspired by the Wall with free, drop-in creative activities open to all. Peckham Space will also host a celebratory one day Peckham Peace Festival in Peckham Square on 19 August. Please visit www.peckhamspace.com for further information.
