Overview
The visually exuberant installations draw upon and the aesthetics of fine art, design, architecture and photography, creating surprising slippages and collisions between a variety of decorative forms and conceptual strategies. Starting points for past projects include the spiritualist photography of Sven Turk, the work of Henri Matisse, digital pixels and classical Greek temples. Recent solo and two person shows include The Scream of the Commode at IMT, London (2013), Warm Breeze Over Rock at The Royal Standard, Liverpool (2013), and Flatfile at Eastside Projects, Birmingham (2012). Group shows include Head To Head, Standpoint, London (2014), RIFF/T, Baltic 39, Newcastle (2014). Nové-Josserand was in residency at The New Art Gallery Walsall, Walsall in 2012, and in 2013 was a participant in the Zabludowicz Collection Testing Ground: Master Class programme for emerging artists.
