Overview

Sculpture is an object defined by gravity, light and the human body. Landscape is first shaped by geological history and then human history, its limits defined by the horizons of vision. This programme of six films from the early 1970s explores how artists in this fertile period of artmaking used film to collapse landscape into sculpture, a process that redefined and interrupted object-definitions of sculpture to form the ground from which art today grows.
