PEER presents new paintings in the first exhibition in a public gallery by young artist Jadé Fadojutimi. With a highly charged and often emotional approach, for Fadojutimi the production of painting is compulsive, exhilarating and exhausting. Exploring complex and reflective questions about identity, and how to navigate paths through a fractured society, the resulting large-scale, gestural and vibrant paintings although essentially abstract, often present a pervading sense of a densely vegetated environment.
