Ben Brown Fine Arts presents 'Slumber Song', the first solo exhibition in the UK of contemporary Chinese photographer Chen Wei. Currently living and working in Beijing, Chen Wei is a prominent figure in a new generation of Chinese artists using photography to capture human encounters with a rapidly developing China. His work has been exhibited worldwide across Japan, China, America and much of Europe. Chen Wei’s photographs are visually enigmatic, characterised by uncompromising technical virtuosity and a lively conceptual approach. At the core of the exhibition are the artist's celebrated still life photographs, some of the finest examples of how Chen Wei carefully choreographs each scene.
