Overview

‘The Wonders of the Visible World’, brings together artists who use photographic and video-based media to look at the tangible world that we inhabit. Nevertheless, these ‘indexical’ media still reveal things that most of us would believe to be irrational, impossible or unbelievable. The camera lens can, after all, only capture what is in plain sight, and available to the naked eye. Or can it? Perversely, in the hands of artists, the camera lens allows us to ‘see’ the invisible, and to believe in the unimaginable.
