Overview

For this series of works, Steffi has photographed rows of boarded up terraced houses in Greater Manchester. These houses are representive of a more widespread trend in which most residents have left the area, causing a rapid decrease in value for the remaining properties. Unable to sell their homes, some residents are forced to remain in the area where they are subject to a downward spiral of social exclusion.
