Overview

His still-life photographs refer to idealised home and office interiors and the stock imagery he encounters in his design day job. Grüning is interested in modes of display and the often incongruous way in which objects are paired in commercial imagery to suggest particular narratives and lifestyles. His works re-appropriate and subvert such images, highlighting the gap between digital adn real life environments.
