Overview

This will be the first time a comprehensive survey of Sheehy’s work to date has been staged, and includes large–scale paintings that have never been presented to the public. For the final week of John Sheehy, the artist will be in residence, working on–site at the gallery. Sheehy is extraordinarily prolific, often completing 20ft works in less than an hour. Over the course of two days, Sheehy will transform the gallery, using the exhibition's display structure as a canvas. The resulting, immersive painting installation will be re-populated with key works from previous hangs of the show, selected in conversation with the artist.
