Lin May Saeed (b. 1973, Germany) presents a highly ambitious solo exhibition of new large-scale sculptures. This will be the first–ever major institutional exhibition of Saeed’s work. Saeed’s practice broadly addresses human-animal interactions, often returning to themes of imprisonment and liberation in her work. Drawing both from Western traditions and from her Jewish-Arab heritage, the artist’s cross-cultural references acknowledge common histories of human supremacy at the expense of other species and our natural resources.
