Overview
In the West, we see dying as a cliff-edge, a sudden and irrefutable biological event; here one moment, gone the next. Ana Genovés wants to talk about death differently - about binary opposition versus ineluctable processes, and the cognitive dissonance humanity clings to in order to sleep well - through sculpture that operates between the boundaries of making, faking and destruction.
