Overview

Working across video, installation, performance, photography and drawing, Senatore's practice is characterised by public participation. In addition to a collaboration with London based design & architecture collective Assemble, the exhibition at MOT International will incorporate pieces from the nomadic work, The School of Narrative Dance, which investigates alternative education systems; archival drawings from her musical Speak Easy, a work produced in collaboration with 1,200 citizens of Madrid; her 2010 film Nui Simu, capturing autobiographical stories of a small mining town in Sicily, and finally a new sculptural work derived from her opera Rosas, which was created with the participation of 20,000 people.
