East End Academy : The Painting Edition

Overview

This summer the triennial East End Academy provides a snapshot of contemporary British painting by presenting works by twelve diverse artists selected by a panel of expert professionals. The exhibition highlights the latest developments in painterly practice, as these artists each respond in their own way to issues such as painting’s relationship with photography, the history of 20th Century abstraction and the medium’s expansion beyond the traditional confines of the canvas.
