Collaboration runs as a seam of critical enquiry through the work of Faisal Abdu’Allah. For White (Why Have I Told Everything), Abdu’Allah reflects on this project, and examines the hidden stories found in archival surveillance films and reports. Using as his starting point, the Cable Street Riot of 1936, which saw the metropolitan police facilitating a Fascist march through the predominantly Jewish area of east London, the artist brings together an installation including archive footage, documentation and photoetchings of this important political event.
