Brand new work by Peter Blake, never exhibited before, will be unveiled on 21 November in Rock, Paper, Scissors, the artist's largest UK gallery retrospective since 2007. The Waddington Custot Galleries, who have represented the artist since 1972, will showcase almost 50 works by Blake from the past five decades, including extraordinary new collages of London, works on paper, and large scale sculptures, only finally completed this year. Unlike previous works, Blake's new pieces are largely autobiographical, offering a first-time exploration of his life and personal experiences through the various themes and objects used. The show will also include the celebrated portrait of the Queen which was featured on the Radio Times Jubilee cover, never displayed before.
