Lyndall Phelps : Softkill

25 Nov 2011-28 Jan 2012

Overview

Softkill investigates the relationships between natural history and the military. This exhibition presents a range of hand-made radar countermeasures capable of creating false echoes on the radar unit that, in theory, could prevent small animals from being detected. The countermeasures will be juxtaposed with taxidermy specimens in order to create a surreal diorama, merging fact with fiction, and the bizarre with the real. The installation will also include photography, moving image and sound recordings of various species.
