Organised to coincide with the centenary of the First World War Melanie Friend presents three related photographic series that explore the civilian experience of war and war as spectacle. This is very much contemporary photographic art and has a particular focus on public air shows that take place at Royal Air Force bases, and in the skies above seaside resorts.
