Overview

Ben Jones’ sculptures re-visit the old tradition, reworking stone carving to realise new alignments and feelings. Carving with an inexpressive material to communicate a consciousness in unforgiving slate is the hope. The overlaying of mass and line in compressed space might begin to describe landscape sensations that call back to older experiences.
