Overview

McDermott creates maquettes amalgamating: miniature mythological characters with objects of contemporary kitsch, fairy tale figures with psychedelic gardens of plastic flowers and eerily lit scenarios. He renders versions of these maquettes on canvas, an alchemist proposing an alternative world order.
