Visionary artist John Latham (1921-2006), known for his conceptual and theoretical rigour, remains a vital force and influence for contemporary art as evidenced by his inclusion in Tate Britain’s major survey of ‘Conceptual Art Britain 1964-1979’. Lisson Gallery explores his legacy through a presentation of Latham’s spray paintings, including the early monochrome, 'Sleep' (1955), as well as a large time-based ‘Roller’ painting from 1964 and two works from the instantaneous 'Noit' ('One second Drawing') series.
