Overview

Following her 2014 exhibition at Lisson Gallery London, Brooklyn-based artist Joyce Pensato will present an ambitious new body of paintings, drawings and installations, highlighting her artistic development over the last two years. The dynamic movement of line, form and expressive brush strokes now extends to her work in all media with a new accent on the erasure of an image within the process of making the image. The exhibition will feature Pensato’s familiar personalities: Batman, Mickey, Donald, Lincoln, de Niro; playfully, and sometimes threateningly, in conversation with each other from one work to another.
