Overview

'The Shepherd's Whistle' comprises the discovery of strategic cities in the UK, created during the Cold War by Soviet Intelligence. Artist Stefan Gec travelled sections of these routes on a reconditioned M-72 Soviet army motorcycle and sidecar from 1972. The exhibition includes documentary footage of this journey, and the work calls upon current issues around identity and migration.
