Undone : Making and Unmaking in Contemporary Sculpture

30 Sep 2010-2 Jan 2011

Henry Moore Institute
Leeds LS1 3AH

Overview

This group exhibition - which brings together the work of around twenty younger generation artists working across Europe and the United States - identifies a common aesthetic lying on the threshold between made and unmade. Drawing on a wide range of materials, colours, scales and textures, the structures are as much bound together as they are poised to disintegrate. This exhibition is accompanied by A Rough Equivalent: Sculpture and Pottery in the Post-War Period, a display drawing on the research of HMI Fellows Simon Ford and Jeffrey Jones.
