Abraham Kritzman & Eyal Sasson : Stand Still

5 May-6 Jun 2017

Overview

Eyal Sasson and Abraham Kritzman both use long walking voyages as point of departure for their practices. Sasson and Kritzman’s walks are means for encounters, with nature as well as with culture. Rather then the traditional model of immobile painting through observation, they gather their experiences in motion. Kritzman will exhibit monochrome pencil drawings, diluted oil paintings, woodcuts prints and plaster sculptures. Sasson will exhibit, for the first time, 3D versions of his paintings, in the form of a blown-up pop-up made of paper cutouts. The joint display of these works will offer two parallel formal painterly axes, which follow different levels of saturation, perspectives and trajectories.
