Jake Wood-Evans

Jake Wood-Evans (b.1980) is considered one of the leading figures of contemporary British painting. Drawing on the legacy of 18th century British masters, his work has been exhibited widely across the UK, as well as in international galleries and art fairs.

Wood-Evans holds a BA Hons in Fine Art from Falmouth University, and was subsequently awarded a scholarship from the Royal Academy for classical study at the Prado Museum in Madrid. To date, the artist has presented four solo exhibitions with Unit, and has participated in multiple museum exhibitions including the Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery (UK), The Holburne (UK), Winchester Discovery Centre (UK) and more recently, the Mougins Museum of Classical Art (France).

In 2025, Wood-Evans will present his first institutional solo presentation in the UK, at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
