Tourmaline (b.1983, Boston, Massachusetts, USA; lives and works in Miami, Florida, USA) is an artist, filmmaker, writer, and activist whose practice highlights the experiences of Black, queer, and trans communities and their capacity to impact the world. Her film Salacia (2019) is currently on view at Tate Modern as part of the display Art and Society.
