Newnew Zinger
Newnew’s art practice dives into the psychological dynamics of humans triggered by multilayered power structures in the online world. She utilises hybrid mediums, including photography, video, and installation, to express her ideas. Newnew obtained a Master of Arts from the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2022 and is currently based in Chengdu. Her previous work experience in media and communication sparked her interest in digital culture, while her earlier educational background in economics and management in China and New Zealand led her to contemplate political-economic structures in society. In 2023, she initiated CapeLab, a loose art collective that presents experimental exhibitions discussing the cyber landscape both online and offline.
