Kangni is an integrated-media artist. Her focus on the research process at the RCA has shifted her interest from broader ideas to the space around her and beyond. In the public sphere, the relationship between the human race and the environment they live in, as well as outer space, always piques her interest in art creation. She enjoys the freedom of working with various mediums and forms, including oil paintings, conceptual installations, symbolic 3D works, reflective sketches, behavioral performances, and city projects. She is always intrigued by the subtle relationship between individuals/groups and a sense of boundaries, as well as the fulfillment of individual/group values and social obligations. As a careful observer, Kangni aims to draw the viewer’s attention to these overlooked aspects of life, unearthing and exposing the lost land between the known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen. There is a strong atmosphere of social concern in her darkly playful work.
