Originally from Reunion Island, Stéphanie Brossard was born in Le Port in 1992. Through her installations, photographs and videos, she explores the impulses of the world. By imagining chaos as a positive momentum, from which new possibilities emerge, the artist exposes the limits and contradictions of a history that is both singular and global. The artist’s concerns often pass through the prism of natural disruptions. Mobility, borders, creolization, and crossbreeding are all related to the movements of the world, earthquakes, eruptions, cyclones and other climatic and geological hazards.
