Shanzhai Lyric was formed in New York by Ming Lin and Alex Tatarsky in 2015. A roving research body that explores the linguistics and logistics of global capital, inspired by the phenomena of shanzhai t-shirt production in China. They develop an ever-growing archive of garments as the basis for writing, performance and installations. Recent exhibitions include shows at PS1/MoMA and Amant, both New York.
