Anthony Ngoya self claims to be of Afro-European lineage of artists. Motifs and subjects often closely anchored in the culture tied to his family's ancestral background in Congo with hint of sweet nostalgia and aspiration, but these internalised subject matters may only be sensed as latent layers under the sophisticated visual. The emerging artist investigates to create new directions on multiple planes. He explores beauty and emotion in found objects, industrial materials and various beaten up wastes. His paintings hover between figurative and abstract, and the artist researches to create and introduce new dimensions to paintings and sculptures.
