NOTES
Chloe Fremantle has illustrated several books, and designed her own books and cards.
Commissions have included working for the Royal Parks (designing deck chair and bag), and making site specific works for private clients e.g. painted shutters relating to Kew-Focussing In, for a private London Home, a series of gouaches for Collett- Zarzycki Ltd etc.
Her 2007 show at the Curwen Gallery was the result of her spending a year (2005-2006) visiting Kew Gardens twice a month. The very large wall piece in that show was sold in 12 panels to private Dutch collectors in 2009.
In 2012 she was invited by the Oxford Botanic Gardens to visit and respond to them throughout a year (monthly visits) and her successful solo show in 2013 curated by Jenny Blyth was the culmination of this wonderful experience.
In 2013 she was invited to visit and respond to Highgreen Manor over a year (visiting every 3 months). The property is set within the beautiful Northumberland National Park,
The resulting works were exhibited there in 2016 – and currently some 30 of her works are on show in their annexe, Hollins House. Another large group of her work is on loan to The Haven Lodge, St Mawes, Cornwall.
