Joanne Tyler is an award-winning Fine Art Printmaker and Installation Artist and has worked in participatory arts for over 30 years. Originally from Barking and Dagenham, she has spent more than 30 years working as a creative agent in schools and the community, alongside developing her own practice in fine art print and textiles.
In 2010 Joanne began researching Indigo dye and paint making from natural pigments in Thailand and Laos, and has worked extensively with local dyers and weavers. She has also trained with Master Stone Litho artist, Martin Belcour in Ussel France, and presently works between studios in Cornwall, London and France.
In 2018, Joanne graduated with a first class honours degree in Contemporary Craft, specialising in print and glass. She recently set up The Ministry of Making, an affordable arts centre and project for makers.
