Ahaad Alamoudi

b. 1991, Saudi Arabia

Ahaad Alamoudi is a multidisciplinary artist whose works involves ethnographic studies that trace the intersection between past and contemporary history of Saudi Arabia. Constantly moving between both Saudi Arabia and England. Ahaad is interested in how communities measure and promote heritage through archiving and how different historical narratives weave throughout families and communities.

Ahaad pursued her studies in KSA receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the Dar Al-Hekma University in 2014, and a MFA in Print from the Royal College of Art. She is currently back in Saudi Arabia lecturing at Dar Al Hekma University. Using the Internet as a way to explore the conflicting representations of Arabs today, Ahaad’s work is shown in both the Middle East and the west. Ahaad applies her multidisciplinary approach to her practice, whether performance, video or sculpture.
