Organized around new video works and relief pieces, Mark Titchner will look at the idea of permanence, or moreso, the illusion of permanence and our need to monumentalise the past. He will explore these ideas using a deliberately varied aesthetic that pitches the industrially made object against works that emphasize the gesture as an expressive shorthand.

Daniels begins by creating maquettes out of simple materials such as silver foil which are then lit differently to serve as models for highly detailed facsimiles in oil paint. The resulting paintings are complex compositions of brilliant colour and pure form.
