Known primarily for his conceptual photography, film projects and
colour-intensive paintings, Roy Colmer challenged the boundaries
between these disciplines in order to develop a new kind of
perception. A close friend and colleague of Hanne Darboven, this
exhibition will be the first presentation of Colmer’s work in the UK featuring paintings, photo collages and film.

May 11 - Jun 23, 2018 FINAL WEEK
Over more than fifty years, Mary Corse has built a practice that occupies an independent space at the intersection of Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism and scientific inquiry. While light is a major theme of her work, Corse’s paintings embody light rather than merely representing it. Her primary focus lies in perception – how conditions and materials influence our subjective experience, and how the viewer’s movement and position alter our understanding of her work moment by moment. For her first exhibition at Lisson Gallery, Corse will present a selection of pieces from multiple bodies of work that provide insight into her rich practice.

Jul 4 - Aug 18, 2018
Private view Tue Jul 3 6pm - 8pm
Christopher Le Brun’s first exhibition with Lisson Gallery features a new series of abstractions created over the past two years, culminating in a number of large-scale paintings, some light in touch and some involving dense accretions of colour and gesture. These works represent a singularly rich moment in his 40-year career. Le Brun has been a celebrated British artist since the early 1980s; he has also been an instrumental public figure in his role since 2011 as President of the Royal Academy of Arts in London, which celebrates its 250th anniversary this year.
