Yva Jung’s exhibition ‘Monday Morning’ commenced in late April with a performance at the Luton Mall, where shoppers and passers-by were offered sculptures - made with morning dew - in exchange for their stories with which Jung will create new works that will form part of her exhibition at Departure Lounge.
Monday Morning, is Jung’s first UK solo exhibition and brings together photographs, video and sculptures The exhibition will conclude on Saturday July 13 (1.00 - 3.00 pm) with a closing party where Jung will present illustrated booklets recording her performance and the stories she has collected. Three Luton artists are collaborating in an evolving exhibition which focuses on the constraints, and also the opportunities, that are part of the day-to-day lives of disabled people navigating the urban landscape. Bus Lane Archaoelogy, which opens at Departure Lounge on Saturday 5 October, is organised in collaboration with independent curator Caroline Wallace.
